So i went out and bought a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro just to play this game. I have set up the FS2 Open and all that and have completed the first 2 missions. Loving this all over again!

The thing is I want to Be able to move my joystick left/right and have it roll instead of turn. So basically you have to roll and then pull up to turn. And also setup the twist to do the turning.
It's been a long time since I have played a space combat game or used a Flightstick, but it just feels more like flying that way.

Which controller functions do i have to edit? I cant seem to get it quite right. I'm sure the answer is easy I just can't seem to get it.

Options > control config > ship controls > swap yaw axis with bank axis

to remap a control - double click on it and move or rotate the joystick in the direction you want assigned (or press joystick/keyboard)

Not to jack a thread but unlike most other space fighters I actually prefer a mouse/keyboard with both Freespace games. Does that make me some sort of sick freak? Let me rephrase that; does that make me even more of a sick freak?

Nah quite a few people like playing Freespace with a mouse & keyboard. I am psychologically incapable of playing a flight or space sim without gripping my stick ... :ahem: :)
