I'd just wanted to ask if there is any way to use a flightstick and rudder pedals together?
So far, joystick works fine, but being conditioned to using my feet for rudder, I just can't get used to the stick-twisting...
Anyone? :(
As in two separate controllers plugged separately etc? I don't think Freespace can handle two game controllers at once... :( I assume you've already used the auto-detect option in the launcher?
Perhaps there's some sort of adapter that lets you connect a 4-axis joystick and a set of pedals as one device? I doubt it, but it doesn't hurt to have hope...
Yes, that's what I figured. I think the most viable solution would be a software that merges two or more input devices into one virtual device. But I don't know, is there such a thing?
I googled, but only found ancient programs with references to the long extinct gameports which were to be seen on also ancient sound cards...
Such a program would be very nice, since it would sort that problem out for all kinds of older games (Apache vs Havoc comes to mind). I only found PPJoyJoy which does what I explained above, but it limits the number of buttons to 16, which is especially annoying since a coolie hat already counts as 4 buttons. Imagine that on a X52...
