Hey. Back when this came out i didnt have a pc but i used to love colony wars and g police on the playstation. is this anything like colomy wars? from the screenshots it kinda looks it. thanks

Yes in the sense that in both games you fly a space fighter/bomber and shoot at things. There are differences, though. In FreeSpace you don't buy your weapons and equipment; you are given a set of ships and weapons and you choose what you want from them. Also, in most missions you have wingmen and even other wings that you can and must command. Then there's the energy distribution system, similar to that of the X-Wing and TIE Fighter games.

I've only just gotten the game this week, but Colony Wars is exactly what it made me think of when I started playing it. Loved the first CW back then, great game.
