Just a quick question.
I have copies of both Freespace 1 and 2 and wanted to play them again but neither would install on Vista 64.
there are no issues with either of these games from GOG installing on Vista64 and what has been done over original to get them to work

I too have both these games but think it's too much of a brain squisher to try to get them to work. Why not support GOG and buy them?
It's not as if they're expensive.

I have vista 64 and freespace 2 from GOG works with no major issues whatsoever, I expect the same with freespace 1, dunno what they have done to make it work, I'm using fs2open mod anyway. The only "inconvenience" I know of which you may get is temporal fps drop in certain situations (solved by fs2open).
