Hi there I just went on a buying spree on GOG and as I was trying to play FreeSpace 2 the text is horribly blurry and semi-unreadable without attempting to make me go blind and I was wondering if there is anyway to fix this. (didn't see any resolution options)

Not sure how this could be fixed with retail FS2, but with FreeSpace 2 Open, you could use the "Fix font distortion problem" feature available from the FSO Launcher. And you could even use custom resolutions if you wanted to.

Just tried the FSO installer and nothing seemed to change and in the text after the installation is pretty much said an error happened with each part it tried to install. Does it happen to work with the GOG version? (I want to play so bad but the text will make me go blind)

Uh, try the manual installation ( http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=47640.0 ). You'll have to download the components and place them to the correct folders yourself, but it's all simple and easy as long as you follow the instructions.
