Hi everyone,
Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but I've encountered a very odd problem with Freespace 2 Open. I'm using the Fs2_open_3_6_12r_INF_SSE2.exe build of Freespace 2 Open. I managed to get everything installed as it should be, but when I select my build in the launcher, or try to launch the game, I get a really weird error. It says something to the effect of "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive D:" (D: is my DVD drive). I have the option to click cancel, try again, or continue. Regardless of which I choose, the error will close, and then pop right back open immediately. I have to mash the cancel button repeatedly. After 10 or so tries, the game will launch, but will have no cinematics.
I can launch the GOG vanilla version of Freespace 2 just fine, even play it without issue. I can't imagine why Freespace 2 Open would be looking for a DVD in the drive, when I'm using the GOG version. Who ever heard of an open source program adding in a Disk Check?! That's rather weird!
If anyone could provide any assistance, I'd greatly appreciate it.
