The PC has XP, and is a dual core machine.
The graphics movements are all correct and very smooth whether compatibility mode is on or not.
The game moves and controls fine without compatibility mode, but there is no afterburner.
I've seen the "fix" on the forum for Freespace2 that running the game in Windows 95 compatibility fixes the afterburner. It does on this game as well, however, there is a whole other set of problems.
In any compatibility mode, the mouse AND keyboard are very jerky and unresponsive. The game graphics, gameplay, movies and sound continue to remain smooth, but the game, because of the malfunctioning controls, is unplayable.
Freespace 2 is also on this machine, and controls just fine in Windows 95 compatibility.
Does anyone have any ideas for this problem in Freespace 1?
