crazy_dave: I believe you are indeed correct, the ship in the first one, the Dreadnought is more classically what one would think of as a corvette-sized to frigate-sized craft which is much bigger than the ship you get at first in the second game, though I believe there are 4 playable ships in the second one (haven't really played it yet myself).
SladeStrife: ack dont tell me things like that XD yer evvvviiil. >.> trying to make me go broke lol. i think out of all the space games this is the biggest ship that i have directly piloted hehe its exciting :D
edit: whoops fergot bout star trek bridge commander hehe well its in the running of ships i have piloted lol
:) I actually never got to play Bridge Commander, which is unfortunate because I hear it was good. I did play Starfleet Academy which was fun, though I hear Bridge Commander better delivered the sense of "scale" for the capital ships. Lawrence Holland (Bridge Commander & X-wing Series) was a great space sim developer, no doubt about it.
