Hey there Freespacers -

I'm replaying Freespace on my HP Omen 15 gaming laptop...and can't get past an early training mission because the Home key is part of the numeric keypad, and I can't use num lock to toggle it. I also can't reassign the key it seems.

Anyone seen this or know some workaround to this or way to trick the game?

If all else fails, you should be able to skip the training missions.

When trying to remap the control, are you using an outside program or the in-game options? if you haven't tried the in-game options, then select the pilot, select the "Options" section of the hangar, then "Control config", then "Misc" and scroll down to find it. All six energy management controls are there.

If the in-game remapping isn't working for you, then what problem are you seeing?

Rebind it in the options, everything can be rebound in this game IIRC.
