It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hello everyone i'm rather new to GoG, sorry if this is a bit off-topic but i thought i could say hello as well as asking for help.
I have bought the wonderfull game Freespace 2 but i'm having a problem to install it.
Just so you guys know i used the browser download and i have tried to re-download about 4 or 5 times.
when i start the setup it starts to check file integrity and when the checking is complete it says that the File/Exe is corrupt and says that i should try to re-download it. If i skip the file checking it comes up a window where i can choose where to install it to and when i click the install button the install starts without any problems but right at the start about 8 seconds after the install has started it says that there was a problem when it tried to copy the Smarty_fs2.vp file and at my last try it was Sparky_fs2.vp
so i wondered if anybody here can help me because i really want to play this game :(
ohh and sorry if my grammar isn't that good because English ain't my primary language.

What browser are you using to download the game with? You could try alternative browsers like if your using firefox try IE. Also you could try downloading it with the gog downloader. You need to get a file that isn't corrupt otherwise your install will fail.
Also make sure your computer and router firewalls are not interfereing with the download as well as your antivirus.
If none of that works you might want to contact gog support so they can check the integrity of the file on their end as well.
I'm using Internet explorer 8 i think also i don't think that the Router, Firewalls nor my antivirus is interferring with the download but i'll check if that was causing the trouble.
thanks for replying :D

If your using IE8 try download firefox and give that a go. Also make sure you don't have a torrent program like utorrent or limewire runnning or something like peergaurdian.

When i downloaded and installed it on my laptop it worked without a problem so i will try to burn the download to a disk and see if it works on my stationary.
Maybe i also should tell you that my stationary is the one that seemes to have a mind of it's own and works when it wants to work and not when i want it to.
Problem solved now. I moved the working setup file from the laptop to my stationary comp and then it worked. So what do i do now to mark my problem solved so that nobody accidentaly wastes his/her time on this already solved problem?
As I said, I am new to this community :D

Unfortunatly you can't mark you own post as a solution on these forums only other peoples. You could email gog support asking them to do so though. If your stationary computer is acting up though I would maybe think about scanning it for viruses and malware. Malwarebytes is a good program for this as is spybot search and destroy.

i'll just mark your post as the solution then, if that's okay?
