From what I understand, the Mac version is just a Wine wrapper, much like GoG uses for many of their Linux titles. I can confirm that it does work quite well under Wine, so if you want to give that a shot, it should work on a Mac as well (Mint 17 here).

Can't tell you how many times I've wanted to pull the trigger on this game. Would have several times if the Mac version was available, almost did anyway during this last sale. Good luck.
