My own strategy is to fly fly fly in the air, whether I can do it with Lilac, Carol or Milla. Plus, the only time I ever care about going 'faster' is when playing with Lilac, who can hit high speed more easily than Carol or Milla. Staying in the air for long is a strategy I follow even more with Carol and Milla who aren't good at the speed department and whom I need to stay alive because I'm a 0-deaths runner. So exactly, its just a case of different playstyles.

Of course, the fly fly fly playstyle can kill me if I'm pitted against Serpentine. Ouch!

I've downloaded yesterday GOG installer, but it seems that we still don't have this update. No trace of new content :(
(and yeah, it's already present on Steam)

From what I´ve read on the official forums, it´s still beta content (it even runs on the previous game´s engine, which is a lot worse IMO). Torque is only a Time Attack character, he still need some sprites, some levels are unavailable, and he´s still getting minor gameplay changes. It will come here when is not beta.

It seems there´s some bugs with Milla Story Mode too...

If the forums are right, no, Torque is still a beta. You would wish there's a GOG channel for beta games, but at the moment, the update is not going to see anywhere as a stable release.
