For a time the game worked fine but then out of nowhere the game stops responding in the loading screen following the Intro FMV.

I have to force the game to close via task manager and the file verification doesn't work.

Some people say this can happen due to anti-virus software damaging game files but I don't know.

The game stops responding during the load screen after the intro FMV, is there any fixes? verification and reinstalation don't work.
