I built a tavern with door and so on, and in the beginning, it was frequented by my villagers. In the meanwhile, the two barkeepers and the cook have nothing to do any more because no guest enters the tavern. I even built extra doors for each tavern building but that didn't change anything.

Does anyone know any help? I even tried to tear it down, but it won't let me build a new tavern then.

Do you have enough beer, wine, meat and what was it? Cheese? in stock? You should also have a storage for these items. Also make sure your villagers can reach the doors.
Yes, I do have enough beer, wine and meals from boar and cheese, all doors are reachable.
Do you have any Luxury goods markets elsewhere?

How many citizens do you have?
I have luxury markets for honey, herbs, jewelry, and the stuff is bought there. More than 400 inhabitants from the bottom to the top.

I have absolutely no idea why the tavern has been visited before but nowadays not any more.
If those markets are closer to the villagers when they are looking to fulfill their needs then they will visit the markets and not the tavern.

Try pausing the markets and see if the tavern begins to be used. If so you may want to remove or relocate the luxury markets.
