hello.

first of all, excuse my english, i'm french (and therefore I love the way these medieval town get messy by themselves, people constructing where there is space, no matter any urbanism plan or what... really close to many "old city center" in french towns, or to many villages)

I have two things to say about, let's say, residential areas:

1st: when you design a big residential area, wich "encircle" your churches, markets, or globally anything that is not a house, please find a way that they don't build it in a way that blocks the access to those things (especially market, some towns of mines died because of this). I mean, you can bypass this by "unzoning" around markets and the doors of industries, buildings, etc... but it's a pain Imho

2nd: make those villagers move from one house to another, because when your city is large, some of your workers lives on the other side of the map, and the travel time between their work and their house is so long that... they almost don't work at all... if they could move from one house to another, or change job according to their housing, this would be great cause it's really hard after a while to have a stable economy, even if you have enough industries and so on.(this is logical for builders though, they have to go everywhere, but not the other professions)

otherwise, I love the game, really cool and chilling game, with a feeling of simcity and settlers, I really like it.

ps: what's the purpose of makind "dinner" in taverns? I understand for the wine (good and easy money) but I don't understand what's the goal of the dinners... maybe it's just like a placeholder at this time.

You can change the job of the villager. Just click on its name and then on its job to see the job list. You can make him a free villager and then click on a closes free work and assing him there.
