Hi,

Thank you so much for making a Windows 10-compatible version of this game!

I used to play this game on Windows XP using a trackball and keyboard and all worked fine. Now when I try to use the trackball, the sensitivity is so high that I can't aim to fire and hit a target. I adjusted the Options | Input X Sensitivity and Y Sensitivity within the game options to 1.0 each--and that helped a bit--but still the trackball is way too sensitive. For example, if I move it maybe the distance of 1 millimeter then the change on-screen is about 100 pixels.

I also tried adjusting the trackball sensitivity with Windows Control Panel--that didn't make any difference.

I bought my game as a download here on GOG. It came with no instructions related to how to hook up a controller. What does this Remastered version of Forsaken require? It looks like it might require a joystick or gamepad (I have neither)--is that why I'm having trouble?

1. Is there any other way for me to make the trackball less sensitive so that I can use it to aim before shooting?
2. What input device do the makers of this game expect Windows users to use--any specific recommendations (for example, a specific make/model of game controller)?

Thank you.
I can't speak to anything regarding the trackball question but as to your second question, it is possible to use a Xbox 360 controller with this game. Most controllers meeting the XInput standard should work, in fact. I don't know if they ever got around to supporting joysticks or not, unfortunately.
Using an Xbox controller is a good idea--I wonder if the game would work with a Bluetooth Xbox controller on Windows 10?

As for the trackball--I also tried a standard mouse and ran into the same sensitivity issue. No matter what I do, tiny movements of the mouse produce large movements in the game. Any other ideas about that or how to adjust it? Is there any game configuration that I can change in a file or in the registry (i.e., external to the Forsaken in-game options) that might help?

Honestly I couldn't say. The game has some negative mouse acceleration (whether it's intentional or a lingering bug, I'm not sure) as reported here and I don't believe anyone's mentioned any way to get around it anywhere.

As to your controller question - that should be okay to use with the game. If nothing else, you could always test it to see how it behaves when playing the game in case there's any issues that would impact longer play sessions.
