For anybody who might be interested:

Demon Stone runes with wine (I used the Playonlinux interface).

So far I have encountered no Problems.
I'm running wine version is 1.3.29 and am starting it from the Launcher .exe

Another nice hack'n'slash for my Linux! Yay! :)

Cool. What GPU and driver are you using? I've not had much luck with my ATI 4770 and the r600g driver.

It looks like a fun game. :)

I've got it running with a NVIDIA GT 8600M with the newest proprietary driver. ( 295.20 )
In my experience, Nvidia is better where Linux is concerned. Ati seems a bit buggy.

What is the problem? Does it start and freeze, or does it refuse to launch?
Are you running from native wine, or from a Interface (e.g. Playonlinux)?

Try the WineDB for any info on your issue:

So, I have now completed the game on hard. No glitches at any point, just a bug in the second chapter, which isn't OS dependent (Solved by replaying the first chapter, then it was suddenly gone).

Quit a bunch of fun, this game. Although it could be a bit clearer what you have to do to the Dragon...(Thanks IGN for the solution ;) )

System was a Archlinux (with DWM), installed in Wine using the Playonlinux interface (as stated before), but I switched the Wine version to "system", which means its something like 1.4 now...so the Wine Version doesn't really matter. Nvidia doesn't cause any problems at all.

Cheers!
thanks for the report, it's always fine to have more "linux games" ;)
I have problems with Wine 1.7.5 - no sound in many places. But it works OK with Wine 1.6. I'll file a bug about it.
Hm. I just tested it with Wine 1.7.6 and it works. Apparently it was some regression which was just fixed.
