I am at exactly 2500 and cannot train because it says not enough experience. I have plenty of gold. It is a human thief. Anyone else have an idea? I have no status effects.

edit: and not gaining xp either.

Pool of radiance. I fought humanoid monsters like goblins orcs (in the slums of phlan) etc so I don't know about level drain. Would it notify me in the character 'view' page as a status?

One theory I have is a glitch and I could just try and restart.

The other theory I have been ignoring the rune wheel thing for the ancient copy protection because it takes too much time. I have researched this and it's been debunked that ignoring the wheel thing has an effect on play from what I've read, but at the same time I still worry.

But there are Wights in one of the early Slum areas, which could have drained your character. Also Spectre in the Library, IIRC
I don't think the Temples offer Restoration, so assuming it's not some weird bug, you'll need some Scrolls of Restoration. You can find some in the Library, I think, but you'll need a Knock spell to enter, and be able to defeat some tough monsters. You can also get Scrolls of Restoration from the Council Clerk if you accept the Graveyard mission, but you probably need to do more missions/clear more slum blocks first.

Thanks, I may try again and carefully inspect characters before saved games. I hadn't really gotten far anyways.
