So...I'm a complete noob when it comes to D&D. I spent my 80s/90s era gaming time with F-15, Wing Commander, and MechWarrior and missed out on these.

I've been getting into the D&D Forgotten Realms setting lately (with Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale), and these have piqued my interest. Box 2 seems the most intriguing, and seems to offer the most value, but I have a few questions.

1.) If I can only get one, which would be THE one to get, and why?

2.) Have they aged reasonably well (nostalgia glasses off)?

I would have said that it's the one that requirest the largest amount of nostalgia and went with the EOB collection instead, but then again I'm nostalgic for that one. But they are not as old and not as archaic when it comes to things like user interface. But hey, you get a bunch of games and if you happen to like them: Good for you!
