Greetings,

Because you can't really see how many "phantom hit points" your character has gained I'm not sure how this works?

After casting one hand shows shows the touch equipped as the weapon, but the other hand can still have a weapon equipped. Regardless of which hand hits in combat the spell dissapears. So if I hit with the "touch" I obviously get the hit point gain, but what about hits with the weapon equipped hand? The spell is still gone, but did I gain anything???

Thanks!

I don't know, but it shouldn't be hard to test, provided you lose all the extra hit points you've accumulated previously. If you set your HP to show a bar instead of a figure, it will turn blue if you have any "temporary" hit points.
Well could not do that with my other character, but did eventually get another one with VP touch, and tried above. Yes indeed weapon equipped hand or not seemed to gain points. Thanks!
For sure, if you hit with the weapon you discharge the vampisic touch whitout any effect, useful or harmful.
