I asked a similiar question regarding timeline in the Neverwinter Nights forum, but thought I'd pop over here and ask for the Collection specifically.

I never played these to begin with, so am going into them (once I buy them) without any nostalgia. Is there a certain order (chronologically or otherwise) that you would recommend for a playthrough?

There are 3 separate series of games.

From Collection 1, there is the Eye of the Beholder series. These are meant to be played in order.

From Collection 2, there is a series here: Pool of Radiance, Curse of the Azure Bonds, Secret of the Silver Blades, and Pools of Darkness. They are meant to be played in that order.

Collection 2 also has the Savage Frontier games: Gateway comes before Treasure.

Other than that, the games can be played in whatever order you feel like. You might want to play through the Pool of Radiance series before going into Unlimited Adventures. Note that Unlimited Adventures is like Neverwinter Nights in that the game is designed around player made adventures (which are called "designs").

Outstanding. Thank you for your reply. I'm hoping to catch these on sale, since I've wanted them from square one...but if there isn't a sale soon, I'll take it out on my poor wallet. haha.

Thanks for the info though, that's super helpful. I've bookmarked this so I can reference them when I buy the games.
