I'm now stuck on the second level of the temple of Dumathoin. I've ran into several locations that appear to be invisible walls that flip your direction 180. You can be moving down a hall in an easterly direction, then you'll hit a point and be flipped around and now headed west. Doesn't matter if you're in step mode or not, or if you hit the point going sideways or backwards.

I got around one such location and hit the location from the other side and it does the same thing. Unfortunately, this bug has made it impossible to access the rest of the level as there's only two paths to the eastern most side of the map there and both have this bug.

I tried detect magic and was hoping it was just a weird game mechanic, but no such luck. Anyone else ran into these issues and found a way around then?
Just slowly approach these traps with stepping mode on. When you see yourself turn around (watch the compass) just turn yourself around again and continue.
I can't believe it was that simple. Thank you Gotcha.
