Any of the TSR Gold Box games I play gives this error when I go to load my game. this is after hours of playing and a few windows 10 issues and a few game reinstalls
might I have a simple config issue here?

I happend to see mention of this in the DRM thread. This is normally caused when you save at the party creation screen. To avoid this, start a new game, create your party, enter the game proper, THEN save.
