Is it still true that after a certain point, when you transfer to the next game, you won't be able to level up. Seems I remember before I was half-way thru POR I had too much experience to level up in the next game (Curse of the Azure Bonds or Secret of the Silver Blades?)

That's true of non-human characters, as they'll often hit their racial level cap before completing POR. Once that level cap is reached, they won't gain any more levels no matter what game they get transferred to.

Humans, on the other hand, can keep leveling up until they reach whatever level is allowed for the game they're in. For example, humans can only reach level 6 in POR, but may level up further in CotAB.
