If you bought the game here, just go to the game in your library and go to view downloads, and the manuals should appear as extras (pdf format).

If not, just search the internet (i. e. with Google or similar) and you should be able to find the manuals easily.
so they are just need winzip going to unload them my first party got KO'd a bunch and times and are useless so I kept the elf mage and made a new party with a human fighter mage and cleric , a dwarf thief and a half elf /fighter/ mage cleric
This time hopefully these heros come on my next adventure I got longsword+2 wormtongue leather armour +4 x2
and some other ok equipment trying to level up and beat this first game quick now .
Yes, you can bring your characters from Pool to Pools. Elven mages and hafl-elf fighter/mage/clerics will be useless past Curse, though, due to level caps.
sweet apparently you can kill you thief trying to equip a longsword so be careful lol

If you didn't get the games from here, you can download pretty decent scans of the manuals from The Museum of Computer Adventure Game History. Found the site awhile back looking for PDF versions of the manuals to put on my tablet to use with an Interplay collection I'd purchased a long time ago. The games included a giant book that had the reference cards and adventure's journals, but is difficult to lay flat or such without damaging the spine and binding.

The longsword you got at the Graveyards? I think only a Paladin (not available in PoR) or a character who is Lawful good can safely wield it.
