I have been trying to play Gateway to the Savage Frontier and Treasures of the Savage Frontier over the last week or so and am having the same problem in both games. When I try to quit the game after saving by choosing "Exit to DOS," my computer restarts. I don't remember having this problem with Pool of Radiance, which I played through six months ago or so.

I am playing on a 2017 Macbook Pro, and running OS 10.14.6.

I couldn't find anything directly on point by searching topics here and with a more general online search, but I did find a vaguely similar issue that was solved by allowing "full disk access" in privacy and security settings. I did add Treasures to the list of applications that have such access, but it didn't seem to work.

If I could regularly set aside a couple of hours to play, I wouldn't mind having to restart my computer every time I save/quit, but frequently I have to attend to something after 15 minutes and restarting every time that happens is frustrating.

I'm sure it's something very stupid that I'm doing, but I've spent a couple of hours trying to puzzle it out and am at a loss. Thanks in advance for any advice or even a well-intentioned "well, that sucks."

Do you happen to run the game in fullscreen ? If possible, try configuring the game to use windowed mode instead.

Thank you, I will try that.
