Seems I don't get any response in the game when trying to do either. Nothing is saved and nothing prints. I suspect there is a dosbox setup I need to do and not the autopacket the game comes with.

ATM, I can screenshot in a few pieces and line them up and crop up the map with some touch ups. That might print a better map anyway but I really wanted to see what would print out via laser printer. I'm rather used to cobbling and aligning things up and it isn't all that difficult. Any help would be swell.
I started this game last week and haven't tried to print at all. Currently there is a red light on the printer so I think it is out of paper and I haven't got around to checking. I will check it and post back, but I think it unlikely it would work like it did with DOS. But I will give it a shot.

I am curious though why you would want to print maps out? I think the printout function was mostly designed for a DM to have easy access to maps, back when it came out in '93. I wish to heck I would have something like this. '93 was my first year playing dnd, but my first PC was not until '98. I vaguely remember a friend of mine talking about a program to generate maps, and I have to think this may well have been it.
Same here, I tried to print or save but the buttons just appear to toggle for a second, but nothing actually happens.
Printing is not possible in standard installations of DosBox.
You could use screenshots (the default hotkey is CTRL+F5) and print those.
