I'm probably way overthinking this, but between All-Seeing Eye and the Russian fan patch a few people seem to have delved quite a bit into the program. Has anyone ever figured out how using two weapons actually affects the chance to hit in these games?

The manual says the there's a penalty when using weapons in both hands, that rangers don't get this penalty when they're wearing leather armor or lighter, and that 16+ dexterity lessens this penalty. That's not a lot to go on.

If I remember my early 2nd Edition AD&D, the dual wielding penalty is supposed to be -2/-4, modified by reaction adjustment, i. e., high dexterity. If that's correct, with 17 or 18 dex the penalty would be -0/-2. At 16 dex, -1/-3. An elf fighter with 19 dex would have -0/-1 to hit.

Can anyone confirm that this is how it works?
