Anybody know of any programs or such that can be used for these games to hack the stats/HP to just max them all?

I used to hex edit them back in the day when I played them on the Commodore 64.. lol

Now I wish I had kept the cluebooks and all the maps I had made.

There's nothing already designed for the Gold Box games? Just tried the hex edit thing and realized it's been 25 years... And it was the Commodore 64 version I hacked the stats on.. I don't even know where to start or which file the character stat information is stored! lol

Try searching files for your stats.

Simply grepping the files for the name of one of your characters might be informative.

You'll have to run it in DOSBox, IIRC.

Thanks! Looks like it's a hex editor also... But it should give me a lot of information on which files do what, which is the most important thing!

Yep, this handles every single Gold Box game pretty easily. It also lets you swap all your characters to human temporarily to bypass demihuman level limits, and I think it can give exceptional strength to any character regardless of class.
