Awesome! I noticed no mention of VR support on the GOG page, but it is on the steam page - will the GOG version of Firmament support VR as well like the GOG versions of Obduction and Myst do? I was a backer and I had selected my preference for GOG as my storefront but I am a VR user so I would want to make sure I could run the GOG version in VR.

So excited for this! May can't come soon enough!!

Expand the "Tags" in the game's page description. VR is listed there.

Awesome thank you!
Cyan devs the Myst series, then Obduction. Myst and Riven were real winners, then the franchise drifted, as Ubi was brought on board, due to funding issues. As for Ob, lots of eye candy, but the substance was vague, and those interminable transitions. Oy vey!
FINALLY!

I missed backing the Kickstarter, so I had to back it on Fangamer, at the Physical Artifact Collector tier.
$250 USD
VR/PC Proof Of Concept Build, Firmament T-shirt, Firmament Logo Metallic Badge, Plush Mechanical Adjunct, Vintage 90"s Box - With Game & Goodies, Firmament Soundtrack (Digital), Firmament Artbook (Digital), Hi-Res Concept Image (Digital), Exclusive Added Content (Digital), Name in Credits, Firmament Game (Digital), Game Manual (Digital), Strategy Guide (Digital), Backer Updates

The VR/PC Proof Of Concept Build was Steam only, and Cyan would not make a version of the POC for us here on GOG.
While I'm looking forward to finally getting to play the game, I'm still not happy that I will never receive all I paid for, unless I give up on my principles.

Thank you for helping us in deciding to stick to our principles. As The Bard said: "To thine own self be true."
We'll see. The predecessor was really meh for me, as the riddles were just... weird. Same with Myst (1). Only Riven and Myst 3 kinda made sense in their world building and riddle design, where IV struggled again. I get they want to try new things but Obduction really made me question if they can get it right.

Myst was a singular point of departure in gaming for its day. If you think otherwise, perhaps you lack the ability to contextualise it because you weren't around then. Myst's popularity was proof of their ability to "get it right". But there are always risks for any new project trying to push the limits.

Hi, will you add the Galaxy achievements?
I was a Kickstarter - I got my codes and activated them. Not sure what I got for the Firmamanet Backer Content on GOG exactly.....? But I did get all my goodies from the Kickstarter/Fangamer page.

What I liked about all the Myst Games and Obduction is the ability to seemingly just wander around and look at stuff. Mostly no time lines to worry about or complex game play. I'm really crap at at anything that takes mouse or controller dexterity. Been looking forward to this game for years now!

I take the point that some of the puzzles in earlier games have seemed to be a bit arbitrary - it can be frustrating but take your time and enjoy the views. I've never understood why people think there is some status in being able to finish these kinds of games in minimum time. Misses the point if you ask me.
I have installed the game FIRMAMENT on GOG. Clicking on the FIRMAMENT takes me to down the 5 parts files some of which is 4gig.

Click on Part 1 starts to install but needs the correct file location with the message ""Please specify the location of part 4 & click OK. By default the files should be placed in the same folder as the installer itself. Please click browse and specify the correct path"".

Clicked on part 4 and after download it opens the VLC media program. Is this supposed to do???

Still not able to start the program game.

Does any one have this problem?

Focusing on the messenger, aren't we? Maybe focus on the message instead. I love Riven, but not Myst. I know it was something special back in the day but it simply has not aged well. And they repeated these mistakes in other games of theirs, especially in Obduction. Riven and Myst 3 are the only ones where I found the puzzles to be well made.
