This game has at least 2 severe bugs.
I started over the game and those bugs still occur.

Bug 1: Day 2, stuck at the beginning. Quitting to main menu and continue fixes it.

Bug 2: Day 3, stuck after boarding up window. I found 5 boards, only 3 are necessary but there is no progress after the window has been boarded up.

The 2nd bug is known by the developer. They admitted it on the PS4 page and promised to fix it soon. I don't know when they said this but there are comments by other players 2 months ago where this bug is already mentioned. WTF ?

The developers make themselves very rare and I'm loudly thinking about a refund although I really want to play this game.

I passed this annoying bug on the 3rd play through. No idea why it worked now but now I was able to play the game until the end and it's short. Good but short.
A hint for people who hate the lack of saves. You can minimize the game and copy the save file that is placed in "/C:\Users\XY\AppData\LocalLow\CampoSanto" and rename it to e.g. "Day77.sav".

Did the developers fix these problems or are the softlocks still in the game?

I hate devs that hide/bury the save files and ignore major bugs...And NO they didn't fix the bugs, they're still there a year later!

They are hard to reach unless you are rich and have a lot of followers and accidentally say a "bad" word on a late night stream. THEN they are all over the place virtue signaling. They are welcome to their opinion of course, but threatening DMCA take down orders on an unrelated video because somebody used a word you don't like means your a SJW. *THAT* explains why the game isn't fixed... Took the money and ran, like any other lefty....

I haven't encountered either of these bugs since the 3 patches/updates following Darklord666's original posts (see changlelogs). The developers have also since fixed a number of irritating issues that I'd encountered during my first playthrough.

My experience with Campo Santo and my overall impression has been that not only do they care immensely about Firewatch and the people who buy and play it, they are also some of the kindest and most genuine people in the industry.

Kind and genuine people do not abuse the DMCA system when someone they disagrees with says something they don't like.

While I cannot stand PewDiePie for more than 30 seconds (I tried to watch the re-uploaded version of the deleted video), I cannot support Sean Vanaman's behaviour either – it's a clear violation of trust and clearly shows the problems of youtube's DMCA takedown system.

Another serious bug is not being able to do anything when the game loads. I can use the mouse to look around, but can't move, use the map, compass or radio etc. Not even the game menu can be accessed. Sometimes the bug is solved by crashing the game in the Task Manager and reloading it, but once it didn't work and I had to do some file renaming to at least be able to restart from the beginning of that day. Having just one save slot for the current game is another big aggravation in this day and age.

Ok, so I got a bug where I "harvested" some data. Inventory had filled up. Ok Time to sell. And it just didn't go away. Got INFINITE MONEY but no inventory space to use it - buy anything.
