I have no idea why, but the game, both in-game and in menus, is freezing constantly. It's completely unplayable right now, I've tried uninstalling and making sure I run the setup as admin and that I run the game exe as admin, but nothing seems to make any difference. Anyone else experience this?

SOLUTION EDIT:

Well, I managed to find something of a solution to this, here's what I did:

-Go to Manage 3D Settings in NVidia Control Panel

-Select fsShell.exe in the list of games

-Change:

--Maximun pre-rendered frames to: 1

--Vertical sync to: Adaptive

This has kind of become my go-to solution when games are acting weird, but I don't remember having to do it on older games like this. Well it works now, I'll leave this here if anyone else happens to get the same problem.

Playing on Windows 7 64 bit and using a GTX 560 Ti here, no freezes whatsoever. What are your specs? In another thread someone complained about issues on Windows 10.

Edit: Argh, other dude only encountered some crash on startup due to missing codecs or something. Totally unrelated to your problems.

Yeah, I first thought he might have the same problem as the guy with Win10, but starting the game seems to be no problem at all, I get some kind of intro cinematic but when I get to the main menu the game freezes every 1-5 seconds. At times it can run smoothly for a few seconds, and then go back to freezing like crazy, it's almost like it's loading something. If you just wait a while it starts working correctly, but as soon as you click on something else it tanks. This even happens while navigating the options menu.

I can post the whole (or just more of) dxdiag results if you want, this just felt like the most relevant info. I am aware that my computer is rather, ehm, dated, but I can't imagine a game like this being this unplayable on it. It might be something with my computer, but right now I can't figure out what.
