I'm saving often as I'm new to this type of game. The list of saved games is getting longer and longer. Most games have a Delete option in the Load / Save dialogues. I can only see Accept / Cancel options. Am I missing something simple?

You could try messing around with the gamedir\SAV\ files and see what happens.

Just remember to make a backup of the direcotry in case You break something

I was hoping that I wouldn't have to go "under the bonnet" like that. There is no naming convention or graphic associated with the save files to confirm what they contain. For the moment I'll just overwrite where I have multiple copies.

You could check the timestamp for each file for when it was created for a hint.
