I am running windows 10 with the latest update and I keep getting an application Error when I attempt to run the game. (0xc0000142). What might I try?

So I uninstalled and reinstalled it and now it crashes at the main cut scene. Help please.

what you do is disable videos. The issue is the videos were all made with an old video format which doesn't play nice with windows 10 ( I think its an aero issue)

The fix is simple.

Go to your installed folder (right click properties on the desktop shortcut and click open file location)
Double click on epic.ini
change DoVideo=1 to DoVideo=0

this will disable the videos and now you can play!
the only problem is if your like me, you have no idea which videos are played when. you can still play them from the videos folder in the installed folder though
