Not only is the offline installer for Mac three times the size of the other installers, but it fails to install the game as well.

I'm not a Mac user and I can't probably help you, but I suggest you to provide more information about the issue and about your system in order to get help.
Not really much more to say: in the course of the installation process, the following error message crops up (see attachment).

May the installer be corrupt? Have you tried to download it again?

I contacted support, and they provided the following workaround that... worked.

2) You can also try this workaround:
I) Open the Terminal
II) Type in:
xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine
Make sure that there is a space at the end of that command line, don't press Enter.
III) Drag the application to the Terminal window, this should add the correct path.
IV) Now press Enter


I suspect that the problem may have been that I didn't have enough free hard drive space... I deleted some archives prior to my latest attempt and that may have helped.
