It's this kind of behavior that infuriates me. They updated the Steam version of the game to 1.40 on April 3 2020. Here we are on October 21 2020, and the GOG version is still at 1.1.8, which was updated on October 1 2018 -- over two years ago. For the record, the Steam version was
updated to 1.2.3 on April 26 2019, and 18 months later, that update still hasn't made it to GOG, so we're now two updates behind.
Don't buy the "hey, we're busy!" excuse. If that were true, then they wouldn't have had time to update the game on Steam. This is just another instance in which developers (or publishers) charge GOG customers the same amount (or more) for a game, but fail to provide the same level of service and support.
It's this kind of behavior that will make me seriously reconsider my intent to purchase the new game.
