So my map screen doesn't work properly. The cubes on the map screen show up as blank or golden, without any animation or pictures inside them.

I've attached two pictures, the original xbox360 version screen cap and one of my windows version of Fez. THe difference is clear.

help please....

my system:
Lenovo laptop, Windows8 64bit, Intel Integrated graphics 4000 (updated drivers, didn't help).
Fez updated to v. 1.03. Didn't help either.

I updated through Intel.

EDIT: current version is: 9.18.10.3071

I have the exact same issue, and also have Intel integrated graphics. The map screen looks fine on my desktop with a graphics card, but on my laptop with integrated graphics, the map doesn't show the images on each cube.

^^^ Yeah, it appears to be a compatibility issue with Intel Integrated Graphics.
Really hope this gets sorted out. Playing without the map screen working makes the game super difficult.

JudasIscariot: A question, if you don't mind. Did you update your drivers from Lenovo's site or from Intel?
If it helps, I am having the same issue, only on my laptop with the Intel integrated chipset, and I updated my drivers from the Intel site.

Updated my drivers and I can play the game now (used to crash during the loading screen), but I also have the same problem with the map (Intel Integrated Graphics).

Runs with no hiccups on my stationary though, at least that I'm aware of after updating to patch 1.03.

The problem is history (at least for me) after installing the newest update.
Now the map screen works great.
