I wanted a DRM free version of this game for so long. My FEAR Platinum Disc version is messed up on Windows 8.1. Installer doesn't work properly. Exits when I choose to install so I have to look it directly on the disc. But worst of all when I finally get it installed... it won't even open... Made me mad. I got it on STEAM, but I hate the fact that it has DRM and a company can choose when I can play my games and if they ever shut down i'm f***ed.

FEAR really is a great series and I'm glad to see a DRM-free version finally on GOG! I hope GOG can get the other FEAR games as well!

I'd also repurchased this game after previously having it on STEAM (something I have done for several games), though looking at the $15 I paid for FEAR 2 on May 22 and the price it's going at now I feel rather like I shouldn't have been so quick to support it...
