Methanhydrat: Thank you for creating the thread. The fix is also available in the guides section of Steam.

For anyone who is curios, the fix has also been confirmed to be working with Condemned: Criminal Origins, which uses the same engine as FEAR an its expansions.
The fix is great except one problem. it disables controller support. My thumbsticks no longer register in the game (Xbox 360 controller)

Thanks, the game can't really be enjoyed at all without some sort of fix for this problem.
