I get this error message when I try to run FEARXP: Error copying file (chinese letters)
What up, any help?

*Weird that FEAR runs very fine, and Perseus Mandate too.

Having the same problem, but for Original and both expansions. Compatibility modes doesn't fix this.

It's going to be hard to help without any system specifications. Good luck.

It's strange... the very first time I started Perseus Mandate, I had no issues. But then, a few days afterwards, this same error popped up, twice. I searched for an explanation/solution, and found this thread. I tried to start the game a third time, and it worked. It's like the error fixed itself... *shrug*

I know I'm committing the crime of necromancy, but- (and not to mention I also found this thread through DuckDuckGo)

I also got this error. I installed the game on Linux and had Heroic try to update it to the Preservation Program update but quit due to the filesize difference. That's when I first had this error.

My solution was to uninstall the game, then reinstall it from the offline installer (the old one before the current update). Now Extraction Point works.
