I am using an external TV with my laptop via an HDMI connector.
The sound works well on windows (windows 10). When I put my TV as audio output, it usually works OK and I can hear audio from the TV.

This worked on all games, even on F.E.A.R. Platinum.

But somehow I cannot manage F.E.A.R. 2 to use the TV audio. Even invoking the Game Bar during the game and selecting the TV audio as output, the game insists on using my laptop's puny speakers.

Anyone can give a hint of a workaround? Thanks in advance.
When FEAR 2 is running, Alt-Tab out of the game, rightclick on the speakericon and select volumemixer.
Check if the FEAR 2 app isn't muted or has been set at a very low volumelevel.

Edit:

The above probably isn't it, but you can try this.
Rightclick on the speakericon, select soundoptions (top), then select soundconfigurationsreen, make your TV the standard soundsource and maybe disable your laptopspeakers.

Tried that to no avail. Thanks anyway.
