Just wondering. I'm from Germany, and the german retail version of Far Cry is badly neutered, in regards to the violence level. Is this the uncut version or does GoG.com do some kind of IP checking, delivering censored crap?

I second the above post. One of the greatest flaws of the 1.4 patch is that enemies can see you through most buildings and shoot you through most walls.

I'm using the FCAM 1.7 mod, and it's truly fantastic. Much better graphics, better weapon balance, better enemy AI (in a good way), and no more enemies shooting you through walls. Fixes a lot of collision detection bugs as well.

By the way, only a few low priority things are left to be fixed.

Looks great but... What happened with previous-saved files?
I hope it doesn´t happen the same thing as in the planescape hight-res mod.

With Far Cry mods that give you a different campaign, I know your old saves are kept separate from ones with the mod running. Maybe it's the same with this.

I only have the retail German FarCry version but I was curious so I installed my game and updated it with the newest unofficial pacth for FarCry. Unfortunately now the game is back to English. Is there a way to keep the language but also apply the "do not shoot through the wall" fix?

There is a fan patch that only fixes the worst bugs. In the stickied thread the first thing is a link to the patch....
Come back if that does not work.

It should only fix things and not add graphical improvements so I thought this would be save to use. Unfortunately it does change the language.

I have used fan patch 1.41, the one in the link mentioned by me above is 1.43. As I do not have a German version of Far Cry I do not know whether it changes the language but seeing how patch 1.41 is a mere 147kB I cannot imagine it doing so.

Alright, here is 1.41. Download and change the ending from jpg to exe. This one fixed the worst ones so the game is quite playable.
