I never really got into it when it was first released, borrowed it off a mate but it and my video card at the time had a disagreement. One wanted textures, the other didn't so I'm hoping my laptop will have more success.
I did have an 'acquired' copy at one time, which I fought my way through. But I'm going to buy it here when it's released.
Just a little warning: It's hard. It's one of the hardest games I've played in my life, and I have played a lot of games.
I might buy it, depending on what extras it comes with. And i would like to try the multiplayer aspect of it. Anyone who has tried it wanna comment on it?
I heard that Far cry doesn't run on vista well, if at all. So if GoG is releasing it and they do their magic like every other game then it should be a good thing for vista owners. I already own a copy of far cry but depending on the extras I might pick up a digital copy just because its a more convenient install
I'm thinking about it since I had at least two GOGers tell me I need more bang-bang games. Plus, I never got to try this game when it was released because it was sort of the Crysis of its day and I never manage to have Crysis class hardware...
I didn't find far cry THAT hard. I don't know if it was just me. But I lost my discs awhile back, so I'll buy it again and play it through one more time.
I'm defiantly going to get it, its one of those games which I would have bought at release, but it would still be in plastic because life has a nasty habit of getting in the way.

I have no problems running the 32 bit and 64 bit versions on Vista Business 64. I may pick it up anyway just to have a digital version in case mine ever becomes damaged.

Of all the games 'Coming Soon', this one and Gorky are the only ones I'm considering buying.
I already own it and it's tough as nails at times. I'm looking forward to R6 though! :D
I already own the steam version, but you have to go through so much hell on it.. if this version works better, I'd gladly buy it.
Is it ok to run Far Cry on my notebook (1.6 GHZ processor and GeForce GO 7400) ?
I mean, will it actually looks like the screenshots ?
