This thread adresses a bug in Far Cry 2 - a underground house or a house where a buddy is captured in or in general a stupid door which is to pass. It seems everybody is death or what was to be done has just been done. But one can't enter a house/door to end or go on with a mission.

Today I came across that bug for the second time. I tried almost everthing too: from looking around to double check the killed.

One can reload or restart the game. For me there was no need to accept an other mission to do first or so. Just try different approaches. Attack in a direct way from a different directions. If this doesn't solve the problem, just use (different) vehicles too. But before you retry, let the game reset the scene (underground house, buddy capture house). There fore you must be quite a way away from the target location. I know this sounds desperate. But as you strive through the environment, one sets the game engine to different states. And sometimes one got the game engine including the mission in a state, the programmers haven't foresee for a final all-clear-and-right-to-go-on-check.

You really need some experience as a programmer to find it out. The big problem whit open world is, one must foresee every freaking way the thousands of player will choose. To define the right trigger at the right place in right conjunction to other triggers is something one can really mess up. Especially when one is late. An example: if everything around you is most death, but creep up music is still playing, then there is one trigger waiting for an other obviously.

edit:
And avoid blowing up the house. The NPCs in there are set as livings and can die. And one can't make a deal with the death.
