I've completed Far Cry GOG version on Win 7 64 bits without any problem. I'm using an ATI graphics card.
If you purchase the game, I suggest you to 'patch' it using Far Cry Addon Mod, it really improves the game without altering the gameplay. See here.

No problems here. You might want to change the game folder's security permissions to allow read/write access to users, though, just to make sure there are no problems saving games and whatnot. This constitutes a small security risk, but I doubt any virus would really want to hurt your game folders anyway. :p
