Hidy ho all,

I'm trying to download the far cry 2 installer with the gog downloader. Unfortunetly, its saying there is a checksum error on chunk 29, and saying to contact support.

When I go to contact support, they just say its no longer being developed, and to try gog galaxy. Now I like gog's galaxy, but near as I can tell, you can't download games to store on your hard drive for later play with it. Which is kinda a big part of my gog purchases.

So, I wanted to fix this error, if possible. Does anyone know of a way to get the gog downloader to download this game, or am I sol now?

You can also download this game without GOG downloader and Galaxy by clicking the file links in the "Account" tab on top of GOG (haven't yet encountered this error with Far Cry 2; for other games, removing the file and restarting the download worked).

Hello,

I just now finished downloading both the English and German versions of Far Cry 2; using the GOG Downloader (ref attched) - and both copies get to at least the install dialog. I didn't want to install them, so I exited form there.

I don't know at which point you see the error - so I'm posting this in case it was before actually trying to run the installers - in which case you may want to try again (or check your setup).

If it was while running the installers; I didn't go that far, so sorry to have jumped in.. (but since you didn't mention; thought I'd try to help)..

No worries all,

This is all good. Restarted the download, and it went smoothly.

I'm all good
