I just purchased far cry, and i'm loving it. There is one major problem that stops me enjoying it completely though.
Whenever there are moving vehicles: buggys jeeps but mostly when a helicopter turns up, the game grinds to a halt and I can expect to get a single frame every 5 seconds, usually ending up with me getting shot by bullets I cant see or me having to reset my game after 10 minutes.

Please help.

Note that I did'nt have these problems when I played the Demo.

Eh, I remember now... I had the same problem on my older PC. It was happening in other games too, when driving cars. Never found out what was the problem, sorry.

do you know the specs of your computer?

Try lowering the graphics settings, especially the resolution. That almost always helps with lag (although I'm not sure whether or not it'll work for a lag as severe as what you're describing).

with due empathy for your difficulty, this is also kind of hilarious. the vehicle sequences in this game are awful, and it's almost like your computer is trying to protect you from them.

Given my specs, I can just barely play the game on my old decrepit pc. So it's my own fault for taking a gamble. Still, I don't get why the Demo doesn't give me any problems.
