I'm playing with the latest Far Cry 2 Redux mod and right after I wake up and have to fix the car for the dude, I answer the cell phone and there's no voice. Subtitles don't even show anything.

EDIT: I set the max FPS to 45 and the cell phone voice played as normal. I then increased the max FPS to 59 and the cell phone voices still worked. I then increased it to 60 FPS and the cell phone voice stopped working. The max FPS has to be 59 or less for the cell phone voices to work.

Are you playing in DX9? This seems to fix the bug for many users, but not all.

I will say, this bug has never really been pinned down, and it is not a FPS related bug. I only play at 60, and I never get the bug, while other users that struggle to maintain even 50fps still get the bug, and despite the various other game breaking bugs that can come from an uncapped frame rate, I've actually had the phone calls work even when the game was running at above 100fps.

That said, I'm glad it worked for you.

As much as I love FC2, it's still a mess.
