I like the HOMM and even sort of like Fantasy General, so I took a look at this one. Here is what I noticed more than anything else. I look at the screen shots, and is it just me, or does this look almost identical to 'Elven Lecacy'?
The hexagonal map, the spell/skill icons off the to left side, the unit icons on the bottom, etc. etc. All laid out in a fashion that is identical to 'Elven Legacy'.
It is hard to put a star rating on this since I haven't played it, but if the game play is as identical to Elven Legacy as the interface seems to be, then I would give any such clone a one or no star rating, since there already is an 'Elven Legacy'.

Actually, it's not that surprising that the two games appear that similar, since Elven Legacy is the official sequel to Fantasy Wars, developed by the same company and published two years after it.
It's generally expected that you have some hands-on time with the game you're going to review, so that you're basing your opinion on first hand experience.
Anybody can look at screen shots.
Rating a game you haven't played is the height of idiocy. As stated above, this game is a precursor to Elven Legacy. Educate yourself before exposing your ignorance to the internet.

Then it is a good thing he didn't rate the game. The guy just posted a question because he was confused, which is one of the main reasons forums exist.
Flaming a forumpost you haven't properly read is the height of idiocy. Educate yourself before exposing your ignorance to the internet...

Actually the OP *did* rate the game here on GOG, giving it one star out of five, and the first post was written as a review of the game.

The UI of E.L. has more features, so EL is better than FW. However, that's the same game with a different scenario.

Again, as mentioned above by another user, it was rated by the OP. Thank you for proving my point about ignorance. Now, what was that you mentioned about properly reading?
