The intro videos can be skipped by pressing escape but is there a way to turn them off completely?

Probably not, I tried deleting it, but the game will complain. I asked on the official forum, there was no reply. I guess they could be replaced with dummy video files, but I dont know how to create them.
At least they improved it with Elven Legacy which has an option in the settings menu.

Ok, I was able to get rid of the first two intros by editing C:\GOG Games\Fantasy Wars\LocData\Video\intros.list, I simply deleted the two lines. I made a backup first just in case.
I did not find the game intro itself though.
